Well its just a couple days from the apple conference in San Fransisco where it is “rumored” although it is pretty much a guarantee that apple will show off a new Ipod Nano, which seems to have received yet another face lift, and a new Ipod Touch which might receive some additional functionality along with a possible price drop. From the photos that have circulated around on the web for the new Nano, I cant say I am much impressed, some people did not seem to like the shorter, “stubby” Nanos that were released last year, but I liked the smaller design. It will be interesting to see what they do for this year, It has been a long time since I have been disappointed by anything apple creates, they seem to have a good idea of what the public wants before they want it.
If they do give a price drop for the Ipod touch it will be welcomed. I have read that they will possibly drop the 8gb version and give a $100 price cut on the 16gb and 32gb models. This would help boost the sales for the holiday season. Along with pricecuts it is rumored that the ipod touch will receive a couple new features that were given to the iphone earlier this year such as GPS. One thing that I am hoping for but have yet to hear about is whether or not it will get a build in camera like the iphone. This would be a great feature to go hand in hand with the build in wifi access and I will be looking forward to seeing if they will put it in. Tuesday will be the day, until then I will just have to sit still like a kid before Christmas waiting to see what Steve brings.
