We had such a great time at Grandma and Grandpa Simonsen’s house! The girls travelled so well on the airplane and did so well on our trip! They had so much fun playing and snuggling with Grandma and Grandpa…..We will miss you so much!!!! 🙂
I can not believe how quickly these girls are growing up. They are no longer little newborns. I sometimes miss having them so small but it is so much fun to watch them grow and learn new things! This past month both Lily and Maya are Rolly Polly girls. They have been mimicking each other a lot and can almost sit by themselves!
Lily especially likes to move around. She will get up on all fours and rock back and forth. She is an expert at pushing herself backwards but can’t seem to figure out the forward movement yet. It is so fun to watch her look so determined to reach for a toy but keep pushing herself further away! That doesn’t seem to discourage her though, she just keeps trying until she finds herself stuck under the couch! Lily also has two beautiful teeth that have broken the surface!
Our little Maya Bug is just so cute. She has also really started to roll over and likes to play on her tummy. She is our “Chill” baby and is just content to stay put. Even thought she isn’t as interested in moving around she loves to laugh and smile! I found her ticklish spot on her neck and love to hear her giggle! I also spotted two little bottom teeth coming in this week but she likes to keep them hidden. I try and open her mouth and she covers her teeth with her tongue-Silly Girl!
We have started feeding the girls a little solid foods this month! It has been so much fun to see them try and figure out how to eat from a spoon and what they like and what they don’t like. We tried starting them with cereal. The first time they tasted the cereal they just held it in their mouth and look at me like “you want me to swallow this?” It was so funny! They liked peas, absolutely loved squash, but didn’t like carrots so much. Now they are starting to get the hang of eating off a spoon and swallowing….they are growing up too fast!
