the swim
The next morning….after sleeping in to try and get a little sleep….we decided to go for a swim. The pool was really nice and we had a lot of fun. I would have to say that made up for the night before. We had the pool all to ourselves and was able to relax and enjoy the morning. And we got a little exercise too!

the stranger
That night…..I had just fallen to sleep when suddenly I was awaken by a noise. Someone was trying to get into our room!!! The door was wiggling and giggling and startled both of us. It was about 3:00am…who could it be? I would have to say I was pretty shaken up after that….we decided that it must have been someone who had the wrong room number. But after something like that do you think I could go back to sleep? No way…….I was up the rest of the night bound and determined to be there to wake Jason up if it happened again!!!
the mini fridge
We had a lot of fun walking around the town before we went to bed that night….but it was so cold we didn’t stay out very long. Now….there were two things that made this trip memorable. First when we went to our room everything looked really nice….all except this mini fridge that was just sitting on the floor practically in the middle of the room and it didn’t even work…….We thought “kind of getto for paying so much.” So jason went to talk with the clerk at the front desk to see if we could get it fixed or a new one. While we were in the room waiting for the maintnance guy to take a look at our “mini-bar” we started talking about how they could have put the fridge in a less open place and it would make the room look more presentable. There was a big cabnet , the one the TV was on, that would have been perfect. Jason opened the cabnet to see if it would fit and guess what he found……..the “Mini-Bar”….the real one! It was pretty funny….and just then there was a nock at the door, the maintance man. We concluded that the people who used the room before us must have asked for a extra fridge and the maids forgot to take it out before we got there.
the vacation
So, it has been a while since I have written a post. I have so many stories to tell and so little time. Looking through some of my more recent photos I found these. About a month ago Jason and I took a quick road trip down to dallas for a weekend get-a-way. We decided that a 6hr drive was just too long to sit in the car…not really but it was a great excuse to stop for the night at a hotel. Jason searched the internet to find the perfect get-a-way hotel that wasn’t going to take all our hard earned pennies but still had the glamor and comforts that make you feel important. Well, he found the perfect place….we arrived late at night and i was practically in my PJ’s when we walked through the doors….As I looked around i was a little under dressed as everyone that walked by was dressed for a night on the town.
