P.F. Chang’s To Go.

Today we decided to use a coupon and go out and get a lunch bowl from P.F. Chang’s. They are located in the Waterfront at 13th and Webb in Wichita, KS. We only went for take out so I guess we didn’t get the complete sit down experience. The menu looks to have a pretty good variety and the prices weren’t too bad, though a little more than just a casual everyday place to eat (with our college budget). The servers seemed friendly and willing to help while we waited for the food. The service itself was very quick, probably less than 8 minutes to get our food. The lunch bowls were reasonably priced, easily under $20 for both of us, but were some of the cheaper items on the menu. Most averaged around $10.

We ordered two different lunch bowls, Peppered Steak and the other was Almond Cashew Chicken. Each mean had the main entree in its own dish, and then a separate box of rice (brown or white) to eat with it. It also came with your choice of several different soups. The two entrees were very good, the quality was great and the quantity was just right. We didnt have much left overs, but we were both full and couldnt eat any more. The soups on the other hand were not so good. This may be due to our lack of culture or something, but we were not to impressed with them. We ordered the Egg Drop and Hot and Sour soups, the Egg Drop being the better of the two. The Hour and Sour flavor just didnt strike home for either of us, and while Kristen enjoyed her Egg Drop, it still wasn’t to good for me.

Over all I would give P.F. Chang’s a 7 out of 10, with 0 horrible, 5 good, 10 heaven. There was great service, overall good food, they were fast, and the environment of the restaurant made me want to come back for a sit down meal.
